CONGRATULATIONS!

Well done, everyone!
      The concert was by all accounts a great success!
We managed to have our best performance on just about every piece, so this is quite an accomplishment!
Thank you to all those who helped make the concert a success!
We now have a few things happening till the end of the year, so please take note of the following events:
Thursday evening June13th lessons are on- last ones this spring.
Tuesday June 18th: Level 1 interviews and concert photos
                                  Level 2: 2 individual lessons / last class for this term.
Tuesday June 23: Pool party for all students and parents at Ms Currie's home- address /map to be provided
Thursday June 25th Level 2 Interviews -both parent AND student please be present for this planning session. We need your input to keep building !
   We hope to be able to show you the video and photos of the concert soon.

CONCERT THIS WEEK- Show'em your STUFF!

Some final reminders for All students :
Before coming to class:
  • Practise your music well so you are very comfortable with it
  • Level 2- have all music numbered and in order inside folders.
  • have name on music stand
When you arrive:
  • please arrive in plenty of time to unpack and tune before 4pm start  
  • head  straight to the kitchen for unpacking instruments
  • move to seats- Level 1,sit in front row audience, Level 2 sit on "stage"
  • have music stands low for Level 1 part, then raise stands for ensembles and Level 2 pieces.
  • wear black T-shirts with colorful bottoms
Refreshments will be set up before the concert and covered till afterwards.

THIS WEEK"S BLOG 2 : PREP for TUESDAY CLASS

Please be ready for class tomorrow as follows,
                        so we can use class time for music rehearsal:
1. MUSIC STANDS-make sure your name on it- masking tape works fine.
2. LEVEL 2 Number- PENCIL ONLY, each page of music you play.
3. LEVEL 2 Place pages and AFS book, in your folder in order BELOW.
4. LEVEL 2 EMPTY everything else out of folder, return to Ms. Currie- now or after the summer.
5. When you arrive, unpack instruments in the KITCHEN-leave cases there and sit down LEVEL 1 in front row of audience, Level 2 in class chairs, all ready to play. NO food/drink with you!

PARENTS:
Refreshments for after concert:
We have some cookies and cupcakes coming-thank you. Please bring a tray or plate to serve them on.
WE STILL NEED : drink cups
                          large bottles /cartons of drinks
                          serviettes
                          2 -(dollar store) tablecloths- one covers food during concert

Please tell Nikeeta if you can provide any of these. Thank you for helping provide this little celebration time for our students and guests!
