PARENT NOTES
1. Advanced and Intermediate Parents
The MATT privilege of subsidized bi-monthly private lessons: The best route to your child's progress on his/her instrument is through the individual assistance and guidance provided at one-on-one lessons with a professional teacher.
EVERY MATT student is scheduled into a professional teacher's lesson roster.
.
Advanced and Intermediate Private lesson schedule is being finalized this week. Yogita has been working hard to ensure that every student has a lesson slot. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ONE and that you attend each lesson .ADD this appointment to your MATT calendar now for the rest of the MATT year! Missed lessons without urgent cause and at least 8 hours advance notice may result in withdrawal of these lessons.
Parents may wish to sit in at some lessons and see what is being taught, to then be able to encourage your child in home practice.
2. ROSE and ROSEBUD ORCHESTRA CONCERTS:
MATT students may not know what amazing experiences are ahead for them as a member of a youth orchestra.
In order for parents and children to realize this performance goal of the MATT program for our students, we have arranged low ticket prices for our Parents and students so that they have a chance to see the inspiring performances of our local Rose orchestra and the Rosebud youth orchestra , in the beautiful Rose Theatre.
We have now 7 dedicated students who have been accepted into the Rosebud orchestra. Some, who are not yet in high school, are still part of MATT.
TICKET PRICES: for each concert :Adult $20 .up to 4 children total $10 !
We have seen how inspiring this is for our students Therefore EVERY student is required to attend a ROSE and ROSEBUD Orchestra concert once in the year, in order to receive a MATT certificate at the end of the year.
First concert: ROSE and ROSEBUDS perform Saturday evening, October 27th
- "Haunting Melodies"- children will love the colorful and familiar music with a slightly spooky theme!
Consider attending a series of 3 Rose /Rosebud Concerts for $70 !!!! one adult and up to 4 children each time Or for 2 adults with up to 4 children : $130.
