CONCERT/REHEARSAL PLANNING for TUESDAY JUNE 16TH 

PARENTS WHO HAVE COLLAPSIBLE CHAIRS PLEASE BRING THEM IN and set up for children in right front corner as you enter. We need about 24 total. I will bring 8. Thanks so much. Let Akilah know how many you can bring

BEFORE ARRIVING: 1. Practice all your pieces carefully --so you can HAVE FUN playing the concert!
                                    2. Have their music in order as shown in concert program below
                                    3. Have your name taped to your music stand.
CONCERT ATTIRE: MATT t-shirt with dress pants or skirts (no blue jeans if possible please) dress shoes  if you have any.
Arrival time for ALL STUDENTS 3:45pm Please read carefully, and help make this work smoothly .

REHEARSAL PLAN:
1.ALL students immediately upon arrival place all cases, coats, unneeded items neatly  in kitchen. Take music, stand and instrument into main room. Be as quiet as you can –we don’t have much time to rehearse!
2. Have your instrument tuned by one of the teachers
3. Advanced students place music stand at your desk-it will stay there throughout the concert, used by whoever sits in that chair during the performance.
4. Advanced students .With instrument and music, sit down in performance chairs seating for start of rehearsal: Brandenburg Concerto.
5. Beginning class: Sit down, with your instrument carefully in your hands, in the front row of students chairs. While playing Twinkles and Lightly Row, watch and copy bowing and fingers of leader.
5:  Intermediate students: if there isn’t one there already, set up your music stand in your spot, -keep it with you otherwise.  Sit down in students seating chairs. Row 2 and 3

SIT  QUIETLY  TILL  CALLED  FOR  REHEARSAL  OF  YOUR  PIECES

SPECIAL NOTICE TO PARENTS OF INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS.
Immediately after the refreshments at END of CONCERT, please take your child’s instrument to the “Jefferson van” ,-a volunteer will be there to receive them. They will be labelled and checked for needed repairs andyou can  pick them  up at the party June 23rd.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO PARENTS OF ADVANCED  AND BEGINNING  STUDENTS:
Any instruments owned by MATT will be collected at the PARTY June 23 and returned within a week if no major repairs are required. Pick up will be arranged at Towers for June 30th at 5pm..
