They are both learning to play the violin. The instructions have improved their listening, memory and concentration. They have become more disciplined and reliable as a result of the demanding practice that they must do at home. They understand that time management and organization are essential if they are to participate in other activities. There are also benefits... stage fright has been reduced. Playing with a group to make harmony has shown them the value of interdependence and integration. Perhaps best of all, it is most endearing to watch and listen to our children endeavoring to enchant us with their music.

We hope that this program will endure so that other families may experience the value of the involvement of children in playing musical instruments.
