1. ADVANCED CLASS SAVE THE DATE- 
                                 YOU ARE NEEDED AT :  
Towers Annual Resident BBQ:  So far I have been informed of THREE who cannot make it. ALL others are expected to be  there!!! 
We want to show appreciation for all they do for US, so don't miss this event!  

• Saturday August 20. at the Towers- Meet in Party room 
• arrive 10:30. Play (and eat!) 11 to 2 pm  
• Wear t-shirt and jeans/shorts etc.
• Bring instrument, stand and folder with ALL music we played this year

2.  ALL students keep instruments throughout the summer till Registration Day DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE HEAT- keep in air conditioned or cool area.

3. SEPTEMBER 13th: 4 to 6pm Registration Day for all returning students: 

• Bring your instrument for size, number and and state of repair checks.  
• Return any MATT instrument you no longer need . 
• Your year rental period ends Sept 13th unless you were in the Tuesday Beginner class. Your rental arrangementsTBA

Application forms are available from Marilyn, to be submitted and paid by JUNE  30, for $5 early bird discount. .Contact Marilyn at Musicatthetowers@gmail.com

MATT FIRST ANNUAL CHILDREN"S ACTIVITY FAIR held at ROSE THEATRE STUDIO

    INTERMEDIATE ADVANCED  STUDENTS AND "MATT-ers "(Alumni) will participate

YOU DID IT!

MATT Students, you played an amazing concert yesterday- I hope you had fun performing for such a large crowd of admirers- we have a whole host of new supporters at HCH. They want us back EVERY YEAR!!

PARENTS: You cannot know how much all your help was appreciated- what an amazing team we had! Although the music preparation is the most important aspect of this annual year end  event, as we grow, the logistics become more complicated. You all just got in there and did an amazing job!! 

THANK YOU

I was blown away by your very kind words, and the generosity of presenting me with the gorgeous bouquet of flowers. BUT then when I opened my card later, I was even more amazed! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart- I will be appreciating and  enjoying these lovely gifts for some time to come, but your kind words will remain in my thoughts.

Advanced Ensemble: Saturday August 20 at TOWERS 11 to 2 . Arrival time is 10 am for quick rehearsal and planning time. Bring ALL your music!

1.REQUEST: from TAMMIE, Refreshments co-ordinator:

Would each family please bring a dish of goodies to serve to our audience and HCH guests.

2. Set up will take pLace Tuesday morning at 11:30 at HCH. Thanks to all who are able to help.

3. STUDENT CHECK LIST FOR CONCERT:

• Bring your music stand, labelled with your name
• Wear your MATT t-shirt and dress- up clothes
• Cellos label your rockstop or donut
• Bring your music FOLDER containing only the program and your concert music 
• put your music in concert order 
• arrive at 4 pm and go directly to the right to harmony hall
• unpack immedoately and ask a teacher to tune your instrument
• take instrument, folder and stand (& cello rockstop) into Heritage Hall and sit down 
• be very quiet 
• listen carefully to instructions
• HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME PERFORMING!!

PLANNING FOR THE CONCERT IN ADVANCE:

June 14  CONCERT  DAY at HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HOMES, 7900 McLaughlin Road

1. ALL students bring:

                             music stands labelled with name, 

                             your labelled folder with required music inside, 

                             your instrument

2. Wear MATT t-shirts and dress-up clothing (NO blue jeans)

3. Arrive at 4pm, go (to the right ) directly to Harmony Hall to leave cases, etc 

4. Take instrument, stand and folder immediately to Heritage Hall for tuning and staging rehearsal

4:30 to 5:30  Dress rehearsal starts

5:30 to 5:45 break (if needed , bring small snack to eat in Harmony Hall)

5:45 Return to stage for concert performance

6 pm CONCERT starts, ends approximately 7:15.

After the concert: Immediately return instruments safely into cases, then come to hallway outside auditorium for  refreshments

FINAL MATT 15/16 EVENT :   POOL PARTY/ Awards and Certificates Day.

SUMMER PLANS

NO Classes are held over the summer 

All students are encouraged to arrange with your teacher to have a some private lessons. Instruments are kept over the summer by ALL students.

Registration Day for current students is September 13, 2016 .Register NOW with discount.

For newcomers registration will begin in August.

ADVANCED PLAYERS PERFORMANCE  EVENT at TOWERS August 20, 11 to 2 pm. We ask that you confirm your attendance  as soon as possible

PLAY YOUR PART ! PRACTICE EVERY DAY for a FINE and  FUN PERFORMANCE.
