                                                      PARENT NOTES

 INVENTORY.  Yogita is continuing to compile an accurate inventory of all of our instruments and equipment.

CELLO CHALLENGES:  It is of major concern that we have had several cello repairs lately. Other instruments have SOLID CASES but solid cello cases are beyond our budget.(About. $900) It is essential that parents and students handle the cellos with careful attention , protecting the bridge and neck at all times while  in transit, in class and  at home. They must not be carried like a suitcase, but held upright with the bridge close to the body. Average cello repairs have been over $200. Please do your part to help us avoid  these expenses  .

              BOWINGS : Aim for  short short long etc.

                 Can YOU play it without looking at the note names???

  3.  D scale- Listen for perfect tuning of notes; Check sitting /standing position, bow grip, straight bow, whole bows

  4 . Review Twinkles : Long Bows

 Memorize YOUR lines and spaces, from bottom UP
