Now that we are playing D scale, and starting Twinkle, we can look forward to reading Music - probably by the end of February. The method books are already purchased and ready.
Music stands will be needed for children to have at home and class- they are about $15 to $20. and will be needed once we are using the books. Something to think about- you may already have a stand, or be able to borrow one. If not, we can arrange to get it for you and you can re-imburse us for it.
As you know parents' or familyhelp makes a big difference with practice at home.
Last week several children were able to play the D scale both up and down, and because they had their practice charts with them, with at LEAST 3 practice sessions recorded, they were able to win a little prize for playing for the class.
When the charts are done and homework is learned thoroughly, this can happen!This week they will have the same chance again. D Scale up and down.
We have received word now that MUSIC at the TOWERS' recognition as a Charitable Organization is just about here. Once that is FINALLY done, I hope within this month, I will be asking to meet with Parents about more opportunities for our children to learn and grow musically- hopefully at no additional cost!.
What a joy it is to see the children trying hard and already demonstrating excellent positions! The work you all are doing is giving them a chance for lots more musical fun in the future!
