Homework is the KEY!

Our  young students in group 2 are making great progress -we are starting to see confidence in the most important lessons of bow grip, posture and left hand placement.
Clearly , they are looking like they GET IT!

We will be moving forward now more quickly, as we learn the D scale, ascending and descending (UP and DOWN again), and as of last class - Twinkle has begun! This song is the next most important milestone. We use it to learn lots of different bowings and will be able to join with Group 1 to play it with a cello accompaniment.

Group 1 is moving ahead with Lightly Row and Danielle is working on the accompaniment for Twinkle. Next week Anne Marie and Aileen should be returning.

As always, the work at home helps students to become comfortable and confident.
Your practice should be methodical, as in the sample posted 2 weeks ago. Same time each day is the best way to ensure it gets done, jusdt like any other  part of the family's daily routine.

Practice charts will be checked each week and should include at least 3 sessions a week- more is even more beneficial, naturally.

And don't forget to ask questions before/after / during class - there ARE no silly questions!
