PARENTS NOTES
1. PLAYATHON  II :please return all funds with a copy of your Pledge sheet
We will announce the gift card prize winner at the concert!

THANK YOU to ALL who attended and performed at the PLAY A THON, 
especially Johan Ragoobar, who played 20 min.solo to keep the music going!




2. PARENT INTERVIEWS: all strings parents are required to have an interview with Ms Currie. Your child's report will be available at this meeting along with discussion about the program and other items. 


3. This week MAy 14 to 19th is the last week of classes at the Towers.
The following week we have combined  Beginner and  Intermediate Classes at the Tuesday dress rehearsal at Holland Christian Homes. See details below :

parking at HCH You may park in any spot which is NOT labeled RESERVED.

TIMES of arrival Tuesday and Thursday Beginners: arrive 3:45 class 4:00 -4:45 
                           Tuesday and Thursday Intermediates: arrive 4:45 class 5 to 5:45 a
                           Advanced:arrive 5:45 class  6 -7pm

Tuesday May 29: FINALE SHOWCASE CONCERT 6 to 7:15pm
 at Holland Christian Homes- Heritage Hall,7900 McLaughlin Rd South 
                                        
ALL students arrive at 4:15 pm FULL REHEARSAL 4:30 to 5:45 pm
Wear MATT t-shirts, dress pants/shoes DRESS UP!
Bring your instrument, stand , concert music

PARENTS: It is our tradition to serve  all who perform and attend, including residents of HCH.  Please bring refreshments. Mid -May we will post a sign-up sheet in class. Sign up to bring your choice of beverage / snack / fruit. It is always a feast of  wonderful variety!

This will be co-organized by two parents,  who will manage the set up and clean up. Please help!. Thank you.


YEAR END DATES and SUMMER INFO
TUESDAY JUNE 5: Year - end AWARDS CELEBRATION  4 to 6pm Ms Currie’s yard!
NO INSTRUMENTS! Bring your bathing suit if you know how to swim. 
All swimmers MUST be supervised by his/her parent at all times!

SUMMER MATT Activities
Please have your child continue playing and learning over the summer if oyu can- especially beginner. Schedule a few lessons wiht Amir- great mitivator

MATT Booths at Brampton Farmers' Market
We are pleased to have  been granted  4 market booth dates at the Brampton Farmers' Market this summer. This has proven to be a great and fun way to get the word out about the program.We will need about 4 -5 parents to help each morning.So try to help at least one Saturday!
The dates are JUNE 30, JULY 14, AUGUST 11 and  SEPTEMBER 1. The Advanced students will perform the June and August dates. Please mark these into your calendar! 

 Please let us know if you can do one or both of the shifts on any of these dates. 
Shift times: 7 to 10:30 or 10:30 to 1pm We NEED your help!.

7. CONCERT FINALE: Northern River- name all your notes for next class and practice the new bowings

INTERMEDIATES
ALL Students and Parents are asked to help bring in pledges-funds to be handed in  in class or at interview.

3. CONCERT Water Music Dances 1 and 3 all
4. CONCERT Crepuscule - bar 1 to 55 skip to bar 108 to the end
5. CONCERT `Happy Blues- Review ALL  Work on CODA ending and "road map"
6.  CONCERT FINALE : Northern River

ADVANCED
ALL Students and Parents are asked to help bring in pledges-funds to be handed in May in class or at interview.

JUNE 30 and AUGUST 11 at  11 AM

1. SARABANDE and GIGUE from Suite Francaise- 
2. Fiddlers Three: "FIDDLE Style"- use elbow motion/strong arm weight/ fuller bows 
3. Ave Verum: careful attention to BOWINGS- correct slurs,  perfect tuning 
4. Beauty and the Beast - to bar 69
5. Harry Potter: to bar 77- work on dynamics and strong ending!
6.  CONCERT FINALE : Northern River
