DRESS REHEARSAL
 3:45: TEACHERS ARRIVE , go to Harmony Hall FOR TUNING

 4:10 CHOIR warm up in Heritage Hall enter at MAIN ENTRANCE  pm turn LEFT

STRINGS tuning TIMES : 4 pm Advance
                                           4:05 Intermediates 
                                           4:20 Beginners
             Enter at MAIN ENTRANCE  Turn RIGHT to Harmony Hall
                                                      

4:30 to 5:30 pm FULL REHEARSAL for ALL students in HERITAGE HALL
5:30 Break- Bring a small snack if you think your child will be be hungry- they will join into refreshments after the concert  
5:50 Concert set up time

 
WHAT to WEAR MATT t-shirts, dress pants/skirt/  dress shoes DRESS UP!

WHAT to BRING your instrument, stand , concert music in concert order in folder
                           invite all your family and friends! 
No admission fee is charged, but there may be a collection taken during the event.

                                        PARENTS HELP 
CONCERT REFRESHMENTS  Thank you Intermediate Parent Mercy Mantey for organizing the refreshment sign up!~!Linette Gowe and Mercy are co-ordinators concert day- all are asked to help clean up afterwards. Thank you.

CONCERT DAY TASKS Ivone has been organizing some Parent help for the concert day.  Thanks to all who are willing to help. After the concert we have to return the hall to its "natural state" before leaving. If students and parents all help it is a quick clean up. 

PHOTOGRAPHERS NEEDED.We do need good photos of our events, for use in grant applications, etc, and "for the record"  

Please send Andrea a few of your favorite shots of the concert groups, tuning room shots, food table etc. etc.

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK

All students are now in concert preparation mode for the next two weeks

Find all your concert pieces below and practice each one for perfect timing, tuning, bowing   and  beautiful sound.
When you play remember this is your gift to your friends and family in the audience. They will be proud of your efforts!

YEAR END DATES and SUMMER INFO

TUESDAY JUNE 5: Year - end AWARDS CELEBRATION  4 to 6pm in Ms Currie’s yard-very close to the Towers 
!MATT Certificates and Special Teacher Awards are presented.
WHAT to BRING:
NO INSTRUMENTS! Bring your bathing suit if you know how to swim. 
All swimmers MUST be supervised by his/her parent at all times! 
A qualified life guard has been hired .

SUMMER MATT Activities
1. Have your child continue playing and learning over the summer if you can-                 especially beginners. Schedule a few lessons-a great motivator.

2 . MATT BOOTHS at Brampton Farmers' Market:  PROMO of MATT  program                                     June 30, July 14, August 11 and Sept 1st 
ADVANCED CLASS MARKET PERFORMANCES June 30th and August 11. 
A reply is requested from all Adv class Parents re: attending this event.  

 MARKET BOOTH HELP  Please Email andrea@musicatthetowers to                                     volunteer for your  available date(s) and shift times
                                  7 to 10:30 or 10:30 to 1pm We NEED your help!.

3. Private lessons continue for participating students and teachers
4. June 6 till mid. August - MATT office is closed. 

5. August  13: ADVANCED AUDITIONS schedule  posted for Advanced class applicants and current ADV. students.  Auditions are held end of August. Audition Requirements are available now- see bulletin Board or ask your teacher for a copy of the requirenments. 

6. Beginners Registration: August 13 to September  11. Classes start September 18

7. Advanced and Intermediate Registration: August 13 to September  8.Classes start Sept 11th
