PARENT NOTES

1. SESSION TWO BEGINS DEC 4, 2018. FEES ARE NOW DUE !

 $10.00 LATE FEE IF NOT PAID BY DEC. 4.

2.Will you play Thurs. Dec 6th Concert at Towers? 6:30-8pm

3. THEORY  CLASSES START  next week-Tues Nov 27 
 NEW THEORY WORKBOOKS COST : Book 1: AFS $7.00  Book II -Alfred : $20

Testing on  day 1 for all !
Make sure you let Yogita know if you need a new book  - Buy your book NOW!!

4. CONCERT DATES 2018!! 
ALL STUDENTS   Dec 6 at Towers 7pm. arrive 6:30 pm .
ALL STUDENTS:  Dec. 7 MALL CONCERT: 7pm. arrive 6:15pm- . Dress:  MATT t-shirt and festive colourful pants/skirt/ accessories- no blue jeans please.

d) ADVANCED ENSEMBLE and CLASS: ROSE THEATRE PERFORMANCE: SAT Dec 1st. : arrive 6:30 pm for Warm up Concert starts 7:30pm 
                      Purple Dress shirts and blouses required

Boys: Please see Yogita to obtain boy's dress shirt and bow-tie.

Play each string 4x with no finger down (OPEN -0) then 4X with 1st finger.

Go through all strings up and down, LISTENING for correct note

     (a)  "Doh - a Deer": Play LONG BOWS for first 4 D scale notes, then very short notes for the next 4 scale notes. Sounds so GREAT!!

        Line 2 same notes as D scale (DOWN) from G (on d string)

2. Review: Scale of G one octave March in the Style of Corelli -careful tuning

                  

3. Review: Trumpet Tune  : to be played twice through in performance: 

         Dynamics for 2nd time through : first line, piano, second line ff -                                                                              fortissimo(as loud as possible) -full bows!

4. Review: Happy Song- notes and rhythms. Careful counting

4. Deep River:  CORRECT  BOWINGS  throughout

                                             HUGE ENERGY INTO  BARS 35 and 36
