We now have four classes left before our concert:
Tues. May 31, 3:45, in the party room
David Rehner, Teacher, Concertmaster of the BramptonSymphony is bringing a group of Grade 8 string players
from Queen Elizabeth Public School in Mississauga
to play in the performance
What a great gift to our program! Here are ways to help you prepare for SUCCESS at the concert:
- Remind parents to put the date on the family calendar so they can be sure to attend. We want to have lots of people in the audience.
- Practice lots! In the concert you want to be good at:D scale, and Twinkle. Practice at home, four or more times a week, on correct hand positions, beautiful long bows, correct tuning, and clear sound.
- Bring charts to class. Prizes are coming for best class performances!
- Chat it up with your friends. Ask if they'd like to join the orchestra program. Invite them and their parents to the concert to see what you can do after just a few lessons. New beginners' registration is coming up in June.
- What to wear in the concert?- normally, white top/ black pants/skirt/shorts. Any other ideas? Bring them to class.
Concerts are a very special part of a young musician's early training-a fun chance to show off how much you have learned.
Be the best you can be!
PARENTS: CONCERT HELP NEEDED, PLEASE
