As we move along from our long bows to our scales, and then our songs, we gradually, day by day, add more vocabulary to this language of music.. it is indeed a language which we are building. In fact this language is one that is recognized by music students and great musicians alike. It has no borders - in every country you use the same notes and time signatures and symbols- it is truly the universal language! What better way is there to connect with the world?
We don't notice this as we make our early steps, but we all do make these first steps. If we keep on going, we have something special and unique that bridges all barriers of race, religion and language. And this can lead to a lifetime of fun, accomplishment, and enjoyment.
Just keep on playing- that is the key. The more you play and practice, the easier it becomes, till you can communicate to anyone in the world through your instrument, in your own unique way!
